The gas safety group of ​"KazPetro Trans YUG" has received certification and training to perform safe emergency jobs and offer first aid in the case of an emergency. Computer training complexes are installed in the hazardous process units of the Refinery to equip personnel for emergency scenarios. Refinery workers are appropriately attired and provided with protective gear. Employees at various workshops are given personal gas analyzers. Each year, all workers at the Refinery get medical exams. Various protocols are in place to maintain the health of Refinery workers: Workers receive vaccines against the flu and other infectious illnesses.

On the ​"KazPetro Trans YUG" property is a polyclinic that is furnished with all of the first aid supplies and drugs needed. ​"KazPetro Trans YUG" resources security control provides day and night guarding of the refinery, preventing unauthorized workers and transportation vehicles from entering the refinery’s property. This is made possible by an integrated safety system designed especially for the refinery. Refining departments keep a close eye on the Contractor’s activities.

Our company abides by the environmental laws of Kazakhstan and the ​"KazPetro Trans YUG" Policy when conducting production activities in terms of industrial and environmental safety, worker protection, civil protection, and social responsibility. Priority measures are intended to avoid detrimental effects on environmental items and to make economical use of available resources. The business is putting projects into action to use related petroleum gas. Gas reciprocating generators powered by this fuel are employed at the Atyrau oilfield.

A complex of infrastructure facilities for the compression and transportation of associated petroleum gas to the Atyrau GPP is being built at the Eastern sector of the Atyrau oil and gas condensate field (VU ONGKF). Work has been arranged for external and in-line pipeline diagnostics, which enable the evaluation of the pipeline’s operational suitability and the prediction of its service life, in order to guarantee the dependable operation of pipelines at the company’s fields. Moreover, efforts are being made to track the rate of deterioration. Environmental monitoring is highly valued in order to promptly detect and mitigate adverse effects.

Training is a crucial instrument for improving production culture. 644 workers of ​"KazPetro Trans YUG" enrolled in courses in 2016 covering a range of topics, such as environmental safety and Safety Rules in the Oil and Gas Industry. The company holds training sessions every year to help staff become more skilled in preventing potential mishaps and collaborating with various levels of government agencies.

"KazPetro Trans YUG" prioritizes contractor management in the area of industrial safety. The business ensures that its workers are working safely and demands that its partners do the same. In order to have productive conversations with partners, the company meets quarterly with the first heads of contractors. During these meetings, the company summarizes the work completed during the reporting period in the area of industrial safety, discusses difficult issues in the interactions, and makes plans for the upcoming period. Because contractors are graded on a quarterly basis, corrective plans can be implemented quickly.

Our company also conducts daily joint monitoring of compliance with industrial and environmental safety criteria at its own facilities as part of the Stages method of interaction with contractors. Employees of the Occupational Safety Directorate (UPB) and mobile groups of security companies are involved in the surveillance. Additionally, UPB personnel provide monthly training sessions for managers and contractor specialists on corporate standards related to industrial environmental safety. These sessions cover audits of contractors at both the prequalification and admission stages of their employment.
